Position Summary:

This long term temporary position will be responsible for editing branded and unbranded promotional and disease state materials in an electronic management system, participating in meetings as the editorial subject matter expert, and ensuring integrity of changes through subsequent review stages for our long-term client in the Philadelphia area.

This position will be part of a large multi-site team focused on the procurement of Marketing Print materials for our client. This a long-term on-site temporary assignment for LogicSource.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to edit advertising, promotional, and educational projects to ensure accuracy of spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and context; accuracy of reference format using American Medical Associate Manual of Style.

  • Editing branded and unbranded promotional and disease state materials in electronic management system, participating in meetings as the editorial subject matter expert, and ensuring integrity of changes through subsequent review stages.

  • Sole editorial subject matter expert in meeting environments, capturing all required changes in real time.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or comparable field;

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience editing and proofreading;

  • Demonstrated comprehension of grammar, spelling, punctuation and syntactic rules of the English language;

  • Attention to detail to ensure high-quality, error-free work.

  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer operating system and applications;

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Acrobat pdfs, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word document changes.

  • Working knowledge of digital format, including mobile, web, email, and on demand materials.

  • Familiarity with graphic arts and print production principles.

Travel:

This position will not require travel.

Editors are primarily responsible for reviewing documents and work products for presenttion quality and readability.</p><p>General responsibilities include:</p><ul><li><p>Making sure that documents are clear and logical</p></li><li><p>Making sure that the document organization is appropriate</p></li><li><p>Checking the document for coherence, consistency, and conciseness</p></li><li><p>Correcting grammar, word choice, punctuation, and spelling</p></li><li><p>Assuring adherence to Tetra Tech or client-specific style requirements and guidance</p></li><li><p>Making sure figures and tables are used effectively</p></li><li><p>Checking references for completeness</p></li><li><p>Contacting the project manager or author immediately to resolve or convey significant questions or problems</p></li><li><p>Completing the Quality Control Review form</p></li><li><p>Providing feedback to the author or project manager after the editorial review is completed</p></li></ul><p>Attention to detail is a high priority as one of the primary functions of this position is proofreading. This is a position which requires a can-do attitude and the ability to go above and beyond to ensure the success of the department. The individual must be able to work as a team player, be attentive to the needs of staff, work with specific deadlines, and be open to learning new skills as required to meet the needs of the department and company-wide staff.
