West Central Behavioral Health is looking to hire a clinician/therapist in our Lebanon Adult location. West Central is the nonprofit community mental health care provider for Sullivan County and the Upper Valley, ensuring access to advanced counseling, treatment, and support for people of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay.
As a therapist on our Enhanced Care Team (ECP) Team, you will be a member of a supportive multidisciplinary environment. You will provide office-based therapy to adults living in the Sullivan County area as well as work with individuals with severe and persistent mental health concerns which may include addiction issues, relationship problems, impulsive and risk behaviors; including suicidal and self-harm, problems with stress management, low self-esteem and trauma.
Work with clients to promote optimum mental health
Collaborate with other team members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans and goals.
Counsel clients individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life and making changes.
Support family members to assist them in understanding, and helping clients.
Regularly attend and participate in Team and Staff meetings. Function as a treatment team member and contribute to team and site program decision-making.
May participate with in-service activities, supervision of assigned trainees, co-therapy with Residents and disposition conferences. Act as clinical supervisor for other clinical staff members as requested.
Manage case referrals and assignments, coordinating client care needs with other team members to ensure effective and optimal care.
Assist clients to gain insight, define goals, and plan action to achieve effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.
Master's Degree in human services or mental health discipline
Eligibility for licensure by the State of New Hampshire helpful
3-5 year's experience in mental health, preferably in crisis, but will consider training the right person
