  • Provide accurate, in-depth research and analysis of existing and/or proposed legislation and determine the potential impact on state operations.

  • Identify economic factors affecting state revenues and project economic trends and evaluate fiscal policies.

  • Utilize current econometric techniques and computer simulation modeling to accurately generate economic forecast.

  • Research, develop and prepare complex financial reports pertaining to state and national economics and other fiscal matters.

  • Provide concurrent budgetary analysis by monitoring state revenues and disbursements.

  • Keep abreast of evolving computer simulation and econometric modeling to provide the most effective analysis and projections.

Job Requirement Series

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Economic/Fiscal Analyst

Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Public Administration, Economics, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Public Policy or related field.

  • One year experience in econometrics which includes the application of mathematical and statistical techniques to economics in the study of problems, the analysis of data, and the development and testing of theories and economic models.

  • One year experience in tax policy analysis.

  • Six months experience in public finance which includes analyzing government revenue and expenditures, public trusts and investments, budgets and taxation; evaluating economic impact, making projections and recommending public policies.

  • Knowledge of computer modeling for analysis, simulation, and forecasting.

  • Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Public Administration, Economics, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Public Policy or related field.

  • Three years experience in tax policy analysis.

  • Six months experience in public finance which includes analyzing government revenue and expenditures, public trusts and investments, budgets and taxation; evaluating economic impact, making projections and recommending public policies.

Conditions of Hire

Chase Digital is searching for a Data Analyst who will be a key member of the Digital Analytics organization. As a Data Analyst, you will work as a member of a cross-functional team to improve the online and mobile experience for our customers. You will be responsible for digging into various types of data to identify areas of friction and delivering actionable recommendations. It is imperative you bring the data to life through storytelling and data visualization. You will work with Product, Customer Experience, Development and Operations teams to identify areas of opportunity for key initiatives and drive strategic analysis. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: * Design analytical approaches to open-ended strategic business problems. * Leverage behavioral/click-stream analytical applications front end to quickly identify anomalies in trends * Extract raw data using SQL, Python or R from behavioral/click-stream applications to perform deeper dive and segment based analysis that extends beyond the capabilities of the GUI. * Write SQL, Python, or R code to efficiently gather and analyze data from a variety of relational sources such as transactional and cross channel journey data. * Apply aggregations, segmentation, statistics, clustering, etc… to complex business problems using a multitude of disparate data sets and applications. * Craft compelling narratives focused on improving the customers' Digital experience by joining transactional, behavioral, journey and voice of the customer data * Bring data to life through visualization and storytelling. * Interpret the analysis with a focus on actionable recommendations. * Communicate approach, results and recommendations to executives, product owners, designers, program managers and developers. * Contribute to sharing and documenting knowledge as well as building out an analytics repository. * Build scalable and extensible solutions for common analytical approaches. * Discover, explore, analyze and document data from all source and target systems to better understand the total scope of Data Availability at JPMC. * Participate in an Agile development process for on-going projects or ad-hoc requests. * Escalate issues and concerns appropriately.
