Economic & Workforce Development Adjunct Instructor

An Adjunct Instructor is employed to teach one or more courses which may vary in course material and length of time. • Teach courses as assigned, advise students concerning course requirements, maintain course records, and assist with course scheduling.

• May assist in training and updating other faculty.

• May assist in updating, maintaining, and distributing course outlines and materials for assigned courses.

• May assist in coordinating clinical sites and course offerings as required for assigned curriculum.

• May assist in reviewing textbooks and software.

• Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC Community College System, and applicable State and Federal agencies.

• Maintain the technical competencies necessary to the job function. HS Diploma, AAS in a related field, Bachelors or higher in related field preferred.

All applicants must provide verifiable and relevant professional experience in a work-place setting or demonstrated instructional/teaching environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong personal and professional integrity, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, database systems, College email and website, and other computer applications associated with the position.
