Neighborhood Partnerships, located in Portland, Oregon works collaboratively to catalyze and manage research-backed initiatives and systems, which help Oregonians achieve housing stability and build financial security. Our community encompasses the entire state of Oregon which is one of the most geographically diverse states in the United States.

Our main office is located in Portland, the largest urban center in Oregon. The VISTA member placed at our agency will develop the Financial Education (FE) components of the Oregon Individual Development Account (IDA) Initiative, a program that builds financial capability in low-income Oregonians through the largest state-funded incentivized savings program of its kind in the country. AmeriCorps VISTA members perform only indirect service; interaction with clients will be limited and the member will spend the majority of his or her time in an office setting.

The Neighborhood Partnerships VISTA will play a dynamic role in ending poverty by developing an online portal system through which statewide partners will submit and vet curricula to meet the financial education standards, establishing a robust training and certification program, and launching a financial capability directory. As a Neighborhood Partnerships VISTA you will be part of a cohort coordinated by Mercy Corps Northwest. Early applications strongly encouraged. Selections made on a rolling basis.
