OVERVIEW:

As the Ecommerce Trade Planning Lead at our Kroger Business Center, you will be responsible for developing the strategy and processes to integrate Ecommerce into planning and selling across the Kroger Region and with General Mills' second largest customer.

In this role you will own cross-functional and customer relationships to develop and sell in national customer strategies. This role reports directly to the Kroger Regional Sales Director and dotted line reports to the Kroger ISM/Ecommerce team.

This is an opportunity to work on one of the fastest moving parts of our business, and an area that is all focused on growth. Successful completion of this role will fulfill your Trade Strategy & Analytics experience, while providing you with unique exposure to Ecommerce.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Integrate Kroger & General Mills Ecommerce Strategies:

  • Develop Trade Planning & Selling materials

Lead & Manage Projects:

  • Creating framework for ROI against all Ecommerce support activities

  • Broad integration into region selling and planning process

  • New customer initiative startups

Assist account representatives with the use of data:

  • Analyze data to develop insights in a clear & concise manner.

  • Provide support and guidance.

  • Assist with the development of customer presentations.

  • Gather data, Channel Facts, consumer and customer data (84151, Market 6, & IRI)

  • Support development of plans by defining opportunities, providing key information and preparing presentation materials.

  • Conduct performance analysis against plan.

Deliver on core Trade Planning Metrics:

  • Item set up

  • Volume

  • Trade Efficiency

  • Spending

Effectively leverage trade & planning tools:

  • Provide analysis to determine volume through Distribution, Shelving, and Merchandising & Pricing opportunities related to Ecommerce

  • Understand General Mills trade strategy & mechanics.

  • Data gathering, analysis and interpretation of all trade spending to identify business opportunities.

  • Analyze the business environment/competitive activities.

Assist with the business development and planning process for the customer team:

  • Understand General Mills products & categories.

  • Identify & share best practices.

  • Assist with volume forecasting:

  • Understand the forecasting process.

  • Provide analysis to inform the forecasting process.

  • Leverage trade and planning tools to inform estimates.

  • Understand the implication of the estimates & forecasts to the broader business strategy.

  • Energize and develop others:

  • Demonstrate agility when faced with change and challenge.

  • Act as a buddy or mentor to another employee.

  • Understand the performance management process and tools.

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2+ years sales experience

Reporting to the US Regional Demand Planning Sr. Manager, the U.S. Regional Demand Planning Lead is responsible for leading the US Demand Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will be responsible for business planning, coordinating the US inventory strategy and planning activities, as well as driving US service management and product allocations, all seeking to deliver on key performance indicators including forecast accuracy, customer service, and inventory. As the US Regional Demand Planning Lead, you will: * Lead Demand Planning for Ethicon specific platforms within Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP Process) by ensuring excellent integrity of both demand and forecast data * Chair US Demand S&OP Meetings and other applicable S&OP forums per defined cadence adhering to framework aligning with overall global processes and objectives * Manage assigned product family forecasts in a high SKU environment using statistical software and new product modeling acting as the single point of contact for the region * Build collaborative partnerships with functions such as Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Finance to identify and incorporate market intelligence (events) into the demand forecast as aligned, including contingency plans * Develop detailed execution plans and manage demand plans for new product introductions and life cycle management as required and aligned with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain * Monitor and implement actions towards driving balanced score card improvement by reporting and improving mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), forecast accuracy (Bias) and forecast value added results vs targets, and driving service improvements while supporting inventory reduction initiatives. * Relentlessly focus on customer service enabling achievement of On Time in Full (OTIF) targets and driving continuous improvements in this area * Provide analytical and technical supply chain support for the assigned product portfolio and acting as a liaison between functions * Clearly communicate with key stakeholders accordingly – including (but not limited to) sales, marketing, commercial operations, finance, and supply chain partners * Mentor associates and develop resources providing team leadership as needed * Identify and lead special projects / continuous improvement initiatives * Build work standards and recommend organizational changes to meet business goals Qualifications * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; MBA preferred. * Lean, Six-Sigma, IBF and/or APICS certification is preferred. * A minimum of six (6) years of related professional experience is required. * Hands on working experience with one or more of the following areas required: inventory, planning, order management, ERP or MRP computer systems, financial processes. * Experience in medical device, consumer or pharmaceutical industries is preferred. * S&OP experience is preferred * Experience leading or supervising others is preferred * Understanding of distribution links within the supply chain is required; general business knowledge of US & international markets is preferred. * Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required; advanced analytics and data visualization software design and usage (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik) is preferred. * Ability to set clear priorities, timely decision-making, strategic planning, good judgment, influencing and basic project management skills is required * Must be able to work with no supervision and keep calm under challenging situations * Ability to actively prevent distribution disruptions and flag risks early is required * Excellent communication skills/superior teammate is required – builder, problem solving and negotiation skills, diversity awareness, internal and external customer focus and adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities * Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, mostly to domestic destinations.
