Ecommerce Solution Architect
Position: Contractor with option to hire
Location: US based
Duration: 6 Months+ CTH
Remote is fine
Rates - $100-110/hr on w2 on 115/hr on C2C/1099

GENERAL FUNCTION
The eCommerce Solution Architect is responsible for leading large-scale digital transformation
initiatives to drive eCommerce globally for all brands. This highly collaborative leader will
leverage a deep technical expertise of eCommerce and Marketing technologies, and business
knowledge, to solve problems and architect innovative, sustainable, and scalable solutions to
meet key objectives and accelerate global eCommerce growth. The Architect can communicate
and translate business objectives and needs into technology solutions to be implemented by our
technology teams.
This highly collaborative leader will put the consumer first, leverage a deep technical expertise
of eCommerce, Social, Ad Tech, and Marketing technologies, and business knowledge, to drive
and implement cohesive user journeys that drive user engagement while meeting key company
objectives.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1.Partner and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, Digital Product Owners, Digital
Engineering, Commercial Leaders, Consumer Marketing leaders, Brand Marketing leaders,
IT Leaders, and Senior Leadership Team members to drive and manage the technology
planning, solutioning and implementation for large, strategic, complex multi-system projects.
2.Work with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and the architect technology
solutions across multiple systems to bring them to life.
3.Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application
build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment. Identify potential
issues between system capabilities and the project specifications; and propose new
solutions to work around these limitations. Ensure that global solutions adhere to nonfunctional and compliance requirements at the local markets
4.Provide technical leadership to all parties and ensure uniform enterprise-wide technology
standards are defined and adhered to. Collaborate closely with front-end development,
backend development, and architecture teams.
5.Write functional, technical and architecture specifications and diagrams for feature
enhancements, integrations, and solutions. Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions
with research and the "why, and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and
a recommendation. Strong focus on the high quality throughout the entire process.
6.Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue,
including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to
eCommerce leadership.
7.Influence the need to put the user at the center of everything we do, advocate for them,
protect their data (a.k.a. security). Ensure that all PII data is handled in a secure manner
and that Architectural solutions account for threat vectors.
8.Develop and maintain a deep understanding and proficiency of new and existing
technologies within the full in the eCommerce technology stack [Salesforce Commerce,
Marketing and Service Clouds] to deliver a clear point of view on how core solutions should
be designed and leveraged across the environment. Partner with external vendor partners to
understand and evaluate new capabilities to be leveraged to enhance the consumer
experience and drive accretive ecommerce revenue growth.
9.Partner with other functional leaders within the Experience Team, including QA Leads and
Product Owners, to ensure seamless handoffs throughout the entire project development
process.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related study or equivalent work experience.
10 + years of experience combined development and architecture experience.
Deep technical experience with B2C e-commerce platforms, websites, and applications.
Salesforce specific experience in Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud
preferred.
Experience in Apex, Lightning Aura and Lightning Web Components development, Flows
and Triggers a plus.
Strong understanding of network architecture, application development technologies,
RDBMSs, and MVC architecture patterns.
Experience architecting API layers and web services.
Experience creating custom SF cartridges and applications a plus.
Packaging and bundling technologies, CI/CD pipeline and deployment strategies.
Experience developing and deploying micro-components, microservices and in the cloud.
Experience with micro-services, CDNs, data caches and stores.
Experience with data lakes, CDPs a plus.
Ability to quickly adapt to change and approach problems with a flexible mind-set.
Agile development methodology experience.
Experience in global multi-branded B2C environments a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work across organizational
boundaries and promote and influence direction on how to best solve business and
technical problems.
