Job Description:

eCommerce represents a growing and unique business opportunity that requires a specific mindset and technical capabilities. However, PepsiCo strategic advantage in the eCommerce channel is optimizing the scale, iconic global brands, internal expertise and best practices of the legacy organization. The paradox of having the right connectivity but differentiation requires a strong tie with the business.

This role is responsible for serving as the dedicated conduit and voice of the business unit to the eCommerce team. S / he will be asked to help navigate and influence NAB specific cross-functional needs and help drive alignment between NAB and eCommerce prioritization and strategic planning effort. This role will also enable greater accountability and focus on reaching defined NAB specific targets in partnership with the NA Sales lead.

  • Lead the execution efforts within the BU to optimize the current practices and organizational realities to meet the unique needs of the eCommerce channel

  • Work with the specific BU functional leads (e.g., SC) to identify potential solutions to existing guardrails or practices that are inconsistent with the current size or needs of the eCommerce channel (e.g., unique assortment or price packs for smaller, but highly strategic partners)

  • Identify and drive long-term thinking to evolve PepsiCo's positioning in the BU while ensuring there is the necessary alignment and prioritization between the legacy PepsiCo business group and eCommerce leadership teams

  • Lead period BU POR reviews with eCommerce and BU representation to ensure and operation mindset and consistent focus on achieving the defined goals

  • Partner with the eCommerce Sales and Marketing teams and BU cross-functional teams to adjust focus and practices in real-time to achieve defined goals

  • Serve as the primary conduit and communication link between the eCommerce organization and the BU team and the local resources to mitigate and remedy any potential issues or confusions

  • Partner closely with the NA sales lead to identify any potential risks or retail partner challenges that negatively impact eCommerce growth and proactively work with across the eCommerce and BU teams to address issues

  • Partner with the broader regional eCommerce leadership team to determine the correct expansion plan to drive growth within NA relative to strong understanding of the constraints and needs of the BU


  • 12+ years of experience in related technology and / or eCommerce Strategy or Acquisitions

  • BA and MBA strongly preferred

  • Track record of evangelizing and driving the best in class strategic practices to improve the drive efficiencies and increase pace of decision making

  • Solutions oriented mindset

  • Prior experience in CPG or retail business

  • Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader

  • Strong ability to influence and work through others to effectively navigate matrixed organization while ensuring that necessary stakeholders are informed

  • Ability to manage / drive agenda and thinking with functional reports in a matrixed and virtual environment

  • Able to influence leaders within and beyond eCommerce in a virtual environment

  • High level of intellectual curiosity and interest in technology trends and advancements

  • High character and integrity, is consistent and acts in line with a clear and visible set of values and beliefs

  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences

  • Position will be part of the eCommerce Compensation Structure and will be leveled as an e3
