The E-Commerce Coordinator works with internal and external specialty food marketing teams to provide support and coordination for direct-to-consumer internet, catalog and eCommerce marketing activities.


  • Ongoing review and maintenance of websites for content, product information, nutritional information, image updates, and copywriting specific to site; including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), product description, cook and care, category descriptions, recipes, various links, and content.

  • Manage all social media programs (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) for Smithfield Marketplace and The Peanut Shop to include regular postings and responding to customer inquiries.

  • Create, write, and maintain product specifications and nutritional information for every product code in all sales channels wholesale, catalog, retail.

  • Ensure labeling compliance in connection with Company FDA compliance manager.

  • Assist with media contacts to provide advertising recommendations, negotiate rates, and submit insertion orders for business and consumer publications.

  • Maintain JPEG files in order to create art files for use with trade show signs and banners, retail and trade publications, packaging for retail store displays, limited design of print publications for DTC sales (rack cards, coupons, postcards, mailers.

  • Basic photoshop image editing and coordinating with freelance editor when necessary for extensive editing.

  • Coordinate Photo shoots for meat (SMP) and peanut (PSW) catalogs to include coordination of photo quality product, prop selection, backgrounds and surfaces, and photoshop adjustments.

  • Reporting

  • Retrieve data for square-inch sales analysis per page for meat and peanut catalogs.

  • Provide ad-hoc reports for senior management as requested such as ROI of advertising efforts in order to shift resources and tactics to be more effective.

  • Create and maintain catalog marketing budget spreadsheet with on-time tracking of actual spends.

  • Customer service support duties as needed:

  • Assist catalog customers with placing orders.

  • Review and respond to e-mails and voicemails daily to ensure prompt resolution with customer orders.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of products and share this knowledge with customers.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Art/Graphic Design, preferred.

  • Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Suite: including, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Previous experience using Photoshop, preferred.

  • Knowledge of website design or e-commerce, a plus.

  • Basic understanding of Google productions such as Webmaster Tools and Analytics, desirable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and achieve effective time management.

  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Strong decision making and problem solving.

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Checks location of products in OMNI system. * Verifies receiving receipts from accounts payable. * Performs cycle counts on RF units. * Researches inventory discrepancies & resolves. * Researches customer service errors (pick errors, over ships, etc.) * Performs customer service counts (customer shipments). * Researches and corrects accounts payable discrepancies. * Maintains accurate inventory locations and moves inventory locations as required. Conducts product rotation according to Company policies and procedures. * Counts or verifies freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation. * Performs work on pick and put away discrepancies report. * Researches unit of measure errors. * Checks, receives, breaks down, and separates incoming customer returns and returns to inventory. * Assembles, packs and ships manufacturer and/or vendor returns; initiates required debit memo. * Researches proof of delivery of shipment and previous freight bills (shipping) to check errors. * Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area. * Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse.
