Overview

This critical business role is designed to create, drive, and maximize sales opportunities while supporting the Sales Director. The position will be responsible for managing existing stock categories and e-commerce businesses as well as other new category opportunities. A major objective of this role is to establish, nurture, and grow partnership with merchants, visual managers, supply chain, and forecasting teams at Lowe's. This role requires an ability to build long term strategic plans, influence key stakeholders at the customer and internally to drive results, while contributing to a strong, driven, value-added team.

Responsibilities

  • Support Sales Director in selling activities and managing core product categories and e-commerce business at one of the company's largest customers.

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.

  • Own the relationship with the buyers and be the category and consumer thought leader.

  • Influence and clearly articulate customer needs to Internal Sales Management, Finance, and Channel Management Teams.

  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing Team to coordinate and participate in Category, Business, and Line Reviews.

  • Act as a key liaison to connect in-store and online experience for consumer.

  • Spearhead company participation in all customer trade shows and events.

  • Utilize a consultative solution based selling approach with customer that provides broad category and consumer insights & solutions to drive category and brand sales.

  • Co-own category forecast accuracy.

  • Manage relationships with external rep groups.

Qualifications

  • College degree in related discipline and/ or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.

  • 2-5 Years selling experience working with Lowe's.

  • Knowledge of the Home Center channel.

  • Strong understanding of the Internet channel.

  • Adept at creating a compelling vision, strategy, and tactics to drive outstanding results.

  • Strong selling and interpersonal skills,

  • Keen analytical and problem solving capabilities.

  • Strong, effective oral and written communications skills.

  • Planning and organizing skills.

  • Aptitude to act as business advisor to Lowe's as well as all American Standard business entities.

  • Aptitude for utilizing emerging technologies and proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

  • Business travel required.
