Ecmo Primer

Job Summary The ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) Primer is a professional registered nurse/ certified or registered respiratory therapist who has an expert skill set to assemble and prime the ECMO Circuit for patients requiring extracorporeal support for long term pulmonary or cardiac support. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or respiratory therapy. Appropriate diploma, associate/ ADN, bachelor/ BSN, or masters/ MSN degree in field. Experience Minimum one year ECMO Specialist experience Satisfactory completion of ECMO Primer Preceptorship Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries Current RN or CRT/ RRT license in the State of Alabama. Current BLS certification. Current COA ECMO Specialist Certification
