General Summary The eClinicalWorks Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for support and maintenance of the Phelps Health eClinicalWorks system.# This individual also completes any necessary updates or changes based on directions provided by Health Informatics leadership and our Information Governance teams.# The Specialist will also provide scheduled and on-demand training for providers and staff.# The Specialist acts as a liaison between Information Technologies, the Phelps Health Medical Group, and Administration. # Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develops and applies system solutions to operational requirements. Develops and implements project plans in a timely and accurate manner.

Provides system and application support for physicians and other users. Provides comprehensive training for new staff in the EMR and supporting applications. Thoroughly tests any requested changes to ensure that the changes have the desired effect and do not negatively impact other areas of the system or associated systems.

Ensures clinical connectivity for hardware for the EMR (onsite and offsite). Serves as IT liaison between the clinics and other system entities. Coordinates with the appropriate interface support staff regarding remediation of any interface issues. Assists and performs reporting and data extractions as needed to support operational needs in the Medical Group or hospital. Documents changes, processes, and other activities as needed for effective communication.

Graduate of a Registered Nurse program preferred. Basic knowledge of computer information systems is required. # Work Experience Candidate preferred to have 3+ years of experience working in a healthcare related entity in an information systems technology capacity.# Experience with the eClinicalWorks system required, preferably including a training role.# The position requires the communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff throughout the organization.# Must demonstrate computer proficiency and understanding of clinical processes.# Experience with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office required. # Certification and License Current Missouri RN license or Compact state RN License is preferred.# Information technology and EMR certifications are desired. # Mental/Physical Requirements Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.# Most of the work day will be sitting at a desk, standing, or walking.# Must possess a valid driver#s license and be able to transport self to clinics; some regional travel may be required for in-person support. # Working Conditions Standard office conditions in a medical office and hospital setting.# Direct client (physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers) interaction. Non-standard working hours may occasionally be required for system maintenance, urgent issues, and other implementations or projects.

Job Qualifications
