Description

To provide under the direction of the Medical Director and Team Leader of Cardiac Testing, in accordance with the doctors written order, all echocardiography procedures. Performs all duties in accordance with the policies and procedures of NM. AA/EOE

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy

  • Experience in adult 2D echocardiograms and dobutamine stress echoes

  • Willingness to learn and gain competency in stress echoes and pediatric echogardiograms

  • Ability to push, roll, move patients, the ultrasound machine, and furniture in order to perform exams

  • The ability to function independently requiring greater individual judgment

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Required Education:High school graduate, Technical Training in Cardiac Echo technology or Ultrasonography program Licensure & Certifications: Professional echocardiography certification required (RDCS), BLS certification

Ready to join our quest for better? Description Performs technical, and clerical functions in one or more sections of the laboratory. Presents a friendly, approachable, professional demeanor and appearance. Demonstrates teamwork by helping co-workers within and across departments. Communicates effectively with others, respects diverse opinions and styles, and acknowledges the assistance and contributions of others. Manages work schedule efficiently, completing tasks and assignments on time. Reviews/Records refrigerator temperature(s) and QC/QA records. Areas of concern are recorded through the Corrective Action Log and reported to maintenance for repair. Findings are reported to supervisor or manager. Performs low complexity (waived) testing accurately and efficiently under the direction of a CLS or supervisor. Follows lab procedures carefully. Follows up with all outstanding orders on Order Monitor, and communicates all timed, completed or uncompleted draws/charges, tasks, missing phones through shift reporting to the next shift prior to clocking out and performs other duties as assigned. Inputs and retrieves lab results in Laboratory or Hospital computer system (ie. Rapid Strep Screen or Occult Blood). Properly processes specimens for transport to reference laboratories. Follows JCAHO National Patient Safety goals in regard to two patient identifiers and hand washing. AA/EOE. Qualifications Required: High School Diploma. Upon hire must provide hard copy of high school diploma or equivalency and/or transcripts. Must provide proof of Education as stated in the CLIA guidelines.
