Echocardiograph Technologist

The Technologist, under the direction of a Cardiologist, performs echocardiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision as well as other duties as assigned. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves for a cardiographic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent. He/she will participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Surgery, Mobile Unit and Nursing Units.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Must have successfully completed a formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiography and demonstrate ability to complete competency in Echocardiography.

• National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 1 year of hire or

• National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International within 1 year of hire.

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred qualifications:

• 6 months' work experience
