Currently seeking Echo Technologist for a contract position in Louisville, KY. This is a 13-week contract assignment with 8-hr AM shifts. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent Echo Technologist US experience as a Tech.

Responsibilities of the Echo Technologist

  1. Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients and answer any questions they may have.
  2. Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room in which the procedure takes place.
  3. Spread the ultrasound gel on the surface of the patients body covering the internal area being imaged.
  4. Perform the ultrasound ensuring the transducer (probe) is capturing images of every angle/section that must be assessed.
  5. Evaluate the images for their quality, but also to interpret what was captured in the image.
  6. Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
  7. Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.

Requirements of the Echo Technologist

  1. Current Resume
  2. Certified or eligible for certification by the America Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
  3. Satisfactory completion of formal ultrasound technology training
  4. At least 2 years experience in ultrasound
  5. Current BLS and/or Specialty Certifications
  6. Two current clinical references
  7. Must be able to pass background/urine drug screening
  8. Knowledge of state and federal regulations

VIEW JOBS 10/30/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-28T00:00 1st Shift, Full-Time Oversees the staff and work flow in the CT Department and trouble shoots issues with patients and Radiologists. Performs computed tomography and diagnostic scans designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Responsible for maintaining patient record and files. Performs general CT procedures and assists with CT guided IVR procedures. Essential Functions 1. Oversees administrative functions of staff in department. 2. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. 5. Participates in hospital and department quality assurance programs to ensure safety and satisfaction. 8. Maintains professional development and education for technical competency. 9. Uses standard precautions, PPE, at all times. 10. Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position. 11. Attends all KYOne Health required educational programs as well as all Learn modules. 12. Contributes to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resources efficiently. 13. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within assigned area. 14. Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards. Education / Accreditation / Licensure (required & preferred): Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Possess and maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT) required. State of Kentucky License required.
