Responsibilities

West Henderson Hospital is currently under construction and is expected to open in late 2024. When it does it will be the seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It will be located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. When the hospital opens it will feature:

• 150 beds

• A 37-bay emergency department

• Surgical suites including heart and hybrid suites.

• Endoscopy suites

• Cardiac catheterization labs

• An electrophysiology lab to treat heart rhythm disorders

• An interventional radiology/special procedures lab to treat neurological disorders.

• Inpatient nursing care units.

Job Description:

Works under the supervision of the Department Director to provide Echocardiograph services to patients of all ages.

Qualifications

Shift: FULL TIME VARIED

Education:

Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or Completion of clinical hours allowing the sonographer to be registry eligible, or Registry eligible due to state and/or federal "grandfather" clauses.

License/Certification:

Active certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in the specialty(ies) as appropriate and current compliance with Continuing Education (CE) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate. Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
