Echo Tech Student PRN - Mercy Health Anderson Hospital

The Echocardiography Technician student is responsible for prepping the diagnostic room, preparing the patients, and gathering case specific supplies and equipment under the direction of the Registered ECHO tech's instructions. The Echo Student will perform imaging studies under the direction of a Registered Echo Tech and all studies will be reviewed for technique and quality while the patient is still prepped. Other responsibilities include room sanitation, patient transport/transfer, patient preparation, and equipment and instrument operation. The Echo Student must be able to anticipate and perform tasks that help provide a safe work environment for staff, patient, and self. The Echo Student must complete case setup and room turnover in accordance with the diagnostic cardiology standard operating procedure in a timely manner.

Employment Qualifications:

• High School graduate

• Must be enrolled at the senior level of an Echocardiography program or must have successfully completed the Echocardiography program less than one year prior and awaiting the testing and credentialing process
