Position Summary:

Demonstrates all aspects of echocardiogram performance including tasks involved in creating images of the heart, cardiac chambers, valves, and vessels for the purpose of assessing heart function and diagnosing heart ailments. Work closely with cardiologists and other physicians. Provide patient care, such as preparing the patients for the sonographic imaging and providing them with instructions during the echocardiogram. Effectively documenting and billing of procedure.

Minimum Education

• Associate degree from a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required.

• Registered upon hire or registry eligible and registered within 6 months of hire.

• BLS required.
