Echo Tech Micro-Hospital Weslaco PRN Rotate

POSITION SUMMARY

Performs and monitors echocardiogram (cardiac ultrasound) procedures. Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.

Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing echocardiogram. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited CAAHEP or Diagnostic Medical Sonography School or at least 6 months of clinical experience.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 6 months in clinical setting.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 2 years in clinical setting.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Must be Registry eligible.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: RDMS, RDCS, or RCS.

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS-Obtained through approved American Heart

Association Training Center
