The infant caregiver, working with infants 6 weeks through 18 months, is responsible for providing comprehensive care for the infants. This position is Monday through Friday, 1-6 pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all licensing regulations in regard to infant feeding, diapering/handwashing, and meal preparation;
Feeding, changing and comforting the infants;
Interaction to provide stimulus, growth and development;
Maintaining a safe, secure and clean environment;
Maintaining accurate daily records and reports for each infant;
Communicating with parent/guardian;
Any additional duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma required (coursework in child development preferred);
Minimum of 1 year of infant childcare experience required;
Must be at least 21 years of age;
CPR and First Aid Certified;
Associate degree in ECE preferred.
Knowledge of infant/child development and/or early childhood education.
Knowledge of general safety rules and basic first aid.
Ability to provide compassionate care and interaction;
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in teams and individually.
Ability to always exhibit good judgment, maturity and stability.
The work environment can be fast paced and the position requires high mobility, standing walking, bending and sitting. Must be able to lift and carry infants up to 25 pounds.
