We are seeking a full-time eCAD System Manager at our office in Cary, NC. In this role, you will serve as technical lead and chief architect for Garmins eCAD system, determines and organizes long range system objectives, identifies and implements system improvements and additional capability, and provides technical support to the larger Garmin PCB Design community. Other essential functions include:Enhance the PCB CAD (Computer Aided Design) tools

Participate in selection and deployment of PCB CAD software and hardware sufficient to support all PCB design activities

Develop and communicate PCB Design best practices, PCB Design for Manufacturability training and reference material with managers at all Garmin locations

Develop PCB CAD library strategy

Lead multiple projects simultaneously, some of which will be complex, large projects for enhancing Garmins ECAD software capabilities

Provide project guidance and leadership through definition of clear objectives, requirements, timelines and milestones to internal and external project team members

Provide technical mentoring and guidance to Design Engineers and PCB Designers on the ECAD system and PCB design activities Contribute inventions, new designs, and techniques regarded as significant advances to the PCB Design and product development process

Identify team needs and develop strategies to address them

Effectively represent Garmin among industry partners and peer groups as required

Participate in evaluation of proposed or ongoing projects/programsDemonstrate expert knowledge of Garmins PCB Design and product development processes and procedures

Provide additional leadership in cooperation with the team leader and other functional teams

Participate in recruiting activities as assigned

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience AND a minimum of 5 years of service as a Garmin Technical Lead PCB Designer or a minimum of 10 years experience performing a role substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description. Other requirements include:Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrates a successful track record in managing exceedingly complex problems and providing successful solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious Must possess experience and proficient understanding in a wide range of electronics and board technologies

Must possess expert knowledge that is substantial and critical to Garmins PCB Design needs

ABB is seeking a GBS Finance - Six Sigma Manager for the Cary, North Carolina location. You will be leading high value, cross functional Lean Six Sigma projects to improve standardization and performance of processes, support aggressive business growth. Project leadership includes identifying and justifying opportunities, launching cross functional project teams, employing exceptional project management skills, leading teams to execute projects with the problem solving methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers, and developing team members. Serve as a mentor to site Six Sigma Green Belts. Your responsibilities Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: * Conduct, coordinate and complete projects identified and selected by Global Business Services (GBS) Front Office Manager, including financial tracking and validation with impact on specific metrics (e.g. Drive Performance Optimization (DPO), Distribution System Operators (DSO)), Customer satisfaction and business growth. * Conduct statistical analysis in the financial and performance metrics (DPO, DSO, etc…). * Apply statistical analysis tools/methodology, project management, Lean Six Sigma, quality and basic financial principles to analyze planned activities. * Review, direct and communicate flow of information among various groups to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing business goals. * Influence decisions of site leadership and internal customers. * Negotiate, implement changes and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals. * Lead and direct cross-functional improvement teams. * Act as a mentor of LEAN/Six Sigma principles educating GBS Front Office team members but also the business. * Collaborate and prepare concise presentations to site leadership. * Foster strong and effective relationships with internal and external customers. * Support the GBS Front Office communication ensuring consistency and clarity to the business. * Participate in ad hoc projects in the local and/or global GBS structure. Your background Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration and minimum 3 years of Lean or Global Business Services (GBS) project related experience. Preferred Qualifications: * Strong interpersonal skills are required to lead groups, achieve cooperation, reach agreements and resolve conflicts with 100% Project related experience. * Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills. * Demands a highly collaborative, results oriented change agent. * Experience in international environment. * Previous or current Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
