Position Overview:

The Eaton Internship Program Engineering & Technology is designed to provide exciting opportunities to future leaders who demonstrate a high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance.

During the 12 to 14 week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders. Students will develop skills through stimulating on-the-job experiences, structured training, coaching and networking events. Assignments support real business objectives, with a focus on growth technologies and a high level of contact with Eaton's key innovation and technology leaders. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):

  • Actively enrolled, or will be actively enrolled no later than May 2019, in a Master's degree program in engineering, computer science, or cyber security from an accredited institution (enrollment in a master's/bachelors combined program will satisfy this requirement)

  • In addition to pursuing the Master's degree, currently possesses or will have obtained a Bachelor's degree in engineering, cyber security, computer science, or physics from an accredited institution (enrollment in a master's/bachelors combined program will satisfy this requirement)

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

  • Geographical flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Development Program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Master's degree program in engineering with a focus in aeronautical/aerospace, computer, cyber security, electrical, electronics, mechanical, mechatronics, power electronics, software, or systems

  • Design engineering experience (full-time, intern or co-op)

Position Criteria:

  • Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed.

  • This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the Engineering and Technology Assignment Manager.

  • The summer internship culminates with a formal presentation where students showcase their success stories to leaders of the organization and receive feedback on their performance.

Position Overview: Passion for technology meets keenly managed business processes in the Eaton Leadership Development Program – Information Technology. This multi-year program provides business-minded IT professionals like you with the hands-on experience and leadership skills you need to excel. Your Two-year rotational program is designed to provide emerging talent knowledge and skills that will accelerate technical and leadership learning. Development is accomplished through a variety of on-the- job experiences, professional networking and leadership learning. These assignments include business intelligence (data mining), systems architecture, IT security, project management, business analysis, enterprise resource planning, web and mobile applications, telecommunications and data infrastructure processes, and many other disciplines which form the backbone for service delivery at a premier industrial diversified manufacturer. Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements): * Currently possess or will have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or Business with a major in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science/Statistic, Operations/Industrial Management/Engineering, Computing, Technology Systems, or an IT-related major from an accredited institution no later than August 2019 * Minimum of one internship or co-op experience completed at the time of this application * Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.9 or higher (please do not round) * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship * Geographical flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Development Program Preferred Qualifications: * Desire to build a career in Information Technology * Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (please do not round) * Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community * Strong analytical and business process skills * Proven technical ability through coursework and work experience * Self-motivated and a strong desire to achieve results * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Position Criteria * This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region and/or internationally as determined by the Information Technology assignment manager.
