Eastern Region Lead

Key Role:

Implement and maintain performance management, process improvement, and quality management frameworks and processes across multiple operational functions, including staffing, event management, logistics, quality, and communications. Lead client delivery for 70+ subcontractors located at multiple client locations around the world. Maintain responsibility for supporting the management of operations and work with clients to analyze and execute standard processes supporting client logistics demands for inventory movement and event scheduling for more than 12,000 events and 200,000 products. Serve as a problem solver using structured methods of problem solving and manage and support management with multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Analyze the development of strategic, operational, and tactical plans and define opportunities for improvement for the client's operations. Support the development and structured analysis of client's operations. Lead and support internal subcontractor and external client meetings and presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing or supporting largescale, client facing projects with 70-100 employees

  • Experience in working with the US Army, US Navy, Marine Corps, or US Air Force as a logistician, logistics specialist, or operations lead in a support contractor role

  • Experience with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Transition Assistance Program (TAP)

  • Ability to demonstrate subject matter expertise in operations, supply chain management, or workforce deployment

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree or 7+ years of experience with managing large teams

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with leading the operations of supply chainrelated projects

  • Knowledge of the application of process improvement and quality assurance methodologies

  • Public Trust clearance

  • MA or MS degree in Operations Management or Business

  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Quality Management Certification

  • Change Management Certification

The Global Facilities Operational Readiness Lead supports our Data Center Facility Operations teams at our data centers on standardized process and procedural governance for ensuring maximum readiness of equipment and operating systems, developing and implementing asset management processes, assessment of day-to-day operations, ensuring proper vendor services support, and delivery of other key initiatives. The candidate will need to be experienced in critical operations, process optimization, and program management. This position is full-time and is based in our Washington DC office. RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensure development and implementation of cross-functional programs related to operational readiness of our data centers In support of maintenance plans and repair strategies, coordinate with logistics partners to ensure optimal provisioning of parts, spares, and consumables at all data centers to support continual readiness and ensure scalable solutions Work with site startup teams to implement day 1 readiness and turnover activities along with site teams and ensure the new site teams are trained and onboarded with the latest Facility Operations processes In collaboration with cross-functional data center teams, support efficient planning of lifecycle maintenance activities and projects that require equipment shutdowns, to minimize impact on redundancy and availability Ensure consistency and use of best practices across fleet using global standards and processes developed by the global team in DC facility operations, maintenance, EH&S and project controls (This could include coordinating training, supporting site personnel in implementation, etc.) Provide for cross communications with counterparts at all data center sites, with the leadership team, and adjacent operating teams to share lessons learned and best practices to improve optimize operational readiness and associated processes and routines Support assessment of facility operations, review of post incident reports, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans Support and drive the development and improvement of applicable global standards Ensure consistent process deployment in both legacy as well as new build data centers Approximately 50% travel required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelors Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or industrial) or equivalent technical discipline 10+ years of experience managing technical or mission critical facility operations Experience making decisions and work with minimal direction Track record of thinking strategically and executing tactically Track record of driving projects to completion with minimal supervision Experience in program management and deployment Experience supporting site teams Experience providing solutions to global projects PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Advanced degree or certification in engineering/project management Experience in managing process and program deployment across multiple facilities and stakeholders Experience supporting site turnover and startup activities, especially in asset management and material/parts management and operational processes Experience in interfacing with cross-functional teams for mission critical facility operations, particularly in engineering, inventory and supply chain management Experience in global operational standards and processes for critical facilities Facebook is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures.
