The qualified individual will perform sales and support of off-the-road tires to dealers and end users in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Northern Maryland market. This role must balance the management of existing accounts while actively pursuing new business.
This individual will cover the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland territory and should either live or be willing to relocate to the area.
Perform dealer and end user sales calls
Support Corporate Accounts group at National Account and OE entities; sales solicitation and engineering support.
Monitor and enforce servicing dealer policy
Manage pricing within their authority
Perform job conditions reports with engineering
Perform fleet surveys with dealers or independently
Make recommendations for correct applications
Perform adjustments - dissect tires, photograph and document, determine cause of failure and determine if adjustable, make recommendations to dealers/users based on findings
Dealers and end user training - TreadStat, OTR basics classes, end user training (best practices) advanced dealer and end user training, support BLM training initiative, conduct safety training at dealers and end users locations
Forecast of all ORR A/CG, ORR A/C, specialty tires and special needs requirements
Input request and allocate tires in conjunction with dealer special needs
Follow up on shipping as required by many dealers
Collect and submit all competitive information (price and performance)
Monitor expense budgets on monthly basis and adjust accordingly
Solicit Government business via dealers or independently
Establish travel schedules and manage all travel plans, book all own travel/hotels
Attend industry functions, both national and regional
Actively participate in dealer functions (trade shows, user appreciation functions, supplier expos, etc.)
Participate in and conduct end users seminars at end user association meetings (mining, aggregate, transportation, etc.)
Place and monitor performance of new products and test tires and following via TreadStat, report to engineering.
Monitor dealership network and determine requirements for new distribution
Annual sales budget planning and expense budget requests
Document weekly activities in Salesforce.com
Travel an average of 3-4 days per week (overnights 2-3 per week)
Maintain annual training of MSHA, First Aid and CPR requirements and compliance with all federal, state and individual job-site certification requirements
College Degree or 10 years of relevant experience required
