Job Description:

The Role: Earn to learn Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) training program

MaineGeneral Health is currently seeking experienced caregivers who are interested in expanding their knowledge and credentials. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our PAID CRMA training course.

The Opportunity:

MaineGeneral Health has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team of professionals while being paid to train to be a CRMA. This opportunity requires a commitment of 32 - 40 hours per week. During your training period you will be eligible for benefits including Health and retirement services while earning generous earned time as well. All class time and exams are paid by MGH, once certified you will be working in one of our long-term care facilities.

The Work:

  • Distribute medications to residents per physician orders and complete required documentation.

  • Perform basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.

  • Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

  • Assist with keeping patient's environment safe, clean, and orderly.

You Have:

  • Experienced PSS or CNA preferred.

  • If no certification, MUST obtain a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) certification within 120 days of hire

  • Must be able to attend all classes as scheduled

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must have the compassion to work with adults and the elderly
