Early Vote Reporting Manager

Overview:

The Democratic National Committee is seeking an Early Vote Reporting Manager to support the Biden campaign and Democrats up and down the ballot. The Early Vote Reporting Manager will lead a cross-team data collection, management, and reporting program to support and guide GOTV outreach strategy. This person will work collaboratively with the states, targeting, paid media, and engineering teams. We are looking for folks with a variety of backgrounds and experience, and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America.

This position reports to the Early Vote Analytics Director.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of analysts to design, build, and implement a reporting process for ballot application, ballot returns, ballot rejections, and early voting.

• Create a cross-team roadmap to ensure accurate and timely implementation of reporting infrastructure.

• Create AV/EV reports for campaign leadership.

• Collaborate with paid media, states, and data science teams to integrate EV/AV data into targeting and voter outreach.

• Collaborate with engineering team to create robust data pipelines.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience applying data in a political, business or non-profit setting, with expertise in ETL, reporting, and data management.

• 2+ years using SQL professionally.

• Expert-level knowledge of data visualization tools, such as (but not limited to) Hex, Looker Data Studio, Tableau, GIS, R, Python, Excel, Google Sheets.

• Attention to detail and dedication to data accuracy and data hygiene.

• Ability to balance multiple priorities, communicate goals and build consensus to work effectively within and across departments.

• A track record of prioritizing projects with the ability to be both self-directed and to delegate tasks to others.

• A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and implement creative solutions to unique problems.

• Experience volunteering or working in politics.

Additional Useful Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Google BigQuery, or other technologies in our stack.

• Familiarity (if not direct experience) with early vote data and targeting programs.

The starting salary for this position is $100,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends. This is an exempt position. This role is not BU eligible as it will exist for less than 6 months.
