Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for the following position:
3.75 Hour Instructional Assistant

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is 3.75 hours/day beginning on or about August 20, 2024.

REPORTS TO: Building Administrator SALARY: $18.43 to 23.35, DOE

JOB GOAL: Assist teaching staff in a school setting by implementing teacher-designed instructional tasks and record keeping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Meet ESSA requirements: two years (72+ quarter credits) college credit or successful completion of Work Keys test prior to hiring
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
Accurate reading, writing, math and listening skills
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students and adults
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently
College courses in education and/or child development highly desirable
Must be currently or willing to become first aid/cpr certified
Possess word processing and clerical skills
Ability to use good judgment when carrying out tasks
Music, artistic and second language skills desirable
Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to respond to classroom disturbances, visual cues, student requests, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).
