An Early Childhood Teacher plays a vital role in the development and education of young children. This position focuses on providing a safe- nurturing- and stimulating learning environment where children can develop essential social- emotional- and cognitive skills. The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum- fostering positive relationships- and creating an environment that supports the holistic growth of each child- encouraging free play and assessing the needs of children in care throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor`s degree in Early Childhood Education- Child Development- or a related field.

• Teaching certification and/or licensure as required by state regulations.

• Knowledge of child development principles- age-appropriate teaching methodologies- and early childhood education best practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children and parents.

• Patience- empathy- and a genuine love for working with young children.

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain it).

• Clear background check and child abuse clearances.

• Health and Tuberculin Certificates on file after an offer of employment is made.

Some of the duties you will complete in this role:

Essential Functions:

• Design and implement a comprehensive- age-appropriate curriculum that supports children`s cognitive- physical- social- and emotional development.

• Create engaging lesson plans and educational activities that promote learning through play and exploration.

• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate the diverse needs of individual children.

• Establish and maintain a well-organized- safe- and stimulating classroom environment.

• Manage classroom behavior and encourage positive social interactions among children.

• Ensure cleanliness and safety within the classroom and play areas.

• Regularly assess and document children`s progress and development through observations- portfolios- and assessments.

• Share children`s progress with parents and guardians and collaborate on individualized learning plans.
