When we speak about community, we speak about places of sharing, learning, growing and connection. For some 800 young children in the Chicago area, the first community begins in JCC Chicago's Early Childhood program.

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with a minimum of 21 hours in Early Childhood college course work. Master' degree in Early Childhood Education highly preferred; demonstrated knowledge of Jewish culture and values with previous Jewish programming experience. Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in an Early Childhood environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills with a passion for children and families; have experience with emergent curriculum and outdoor classrooms; 2+ years within a Reggio Emilia inspired school a plus.The candidate will be highly organized and detail-oriented with proven ability for follow through; have previous experience with DCFS requirements and NAEYC accreditation process required; demonstrate the ability to learn to develop and maintain budgets; have a proven ability to demonstrate "Best Practices"; be flexible and adaptable and able to work collaboratively with EC and agency-wide staff, parents and community members; show ability to provide resources, support and recognition to staff; demonstrate proficiency in MS Word, Excel and have the ability to learn other technology as needed.
