We are seeking a SPARK Program: Early Childhood Educator

  • This position is responsible for providing pre-kindergarten literacy services and interventions to children and families eligible for the SPARK Program. The Parent Partner will assist in recruitment of children and families eligible for the SPARK program and navigating through a successful teaching experince to prepare children for kindergarden.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Take part in recruitment of children and families eligible for the SPARK program.

  • Provide home visits to children and their parents/guardians eligible for the SPARK program.

  • Attend all SPARK trainings and teach to the model of the SPARK home visitation standards

  • Successfully achieve utillize Pre-K literacy assessment tools

  • ASQ, Woodcock-Johnson, Ready to Read to help children prepare for kindergarden

Qualifications

What Are We Looking For?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess these minimum qualifications and experience:

  • BS in early childhood education, education child development or related field.

  • Three years recent experience in early childhood education/child health, public health, home visiting or equivalent combination of education/experience preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and insured automobile

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
