MaineGeneral Health Early Learning Center is a Nationally Accredited program for young children, serving approximately 40 children per day, ages ranging from infants through pre-school.

The Glenridge facility provides a wonderful opportunity for pre-planned intergenerational experiences between our pre-school age children, the residents at Glenridge, and both sets of staff! These experiences encourage the participants to build strong relationships between young children and older adults.

  • Plan, develop, care and implements programs and activities for infants through preschool aged children.

  • Fosters a safe, nurturing, comfortable environment through clear, positive and encouraging words and actions.

  • Provides for the health and safety of children to ensure constant supervision of the entire group of children as assigned.

  • Designs, develops and assesses physical, intellectual, social, cultural, creative and emotional needs of children.

  • Regularly communicates with parents and guardians regarding their child's development needs and learning progress.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or Credentialed as a Childhood Development Associate (CDA) by the Council for Professional Recognition required.

  • 1 year or more of experience is preferred

  • Ability to effectively relate to children and their families.

MaineGeneral is offering an opportunity for a Physical Therapist to join our Physical Rehab team where you will work alongside highly trained colleagues in a supportive environment. Position Responsibilities: * This position is responsible for conducting medically prescribed physical therapy to restore patient function and prevent disability. * Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Educates and counsels the patient and family/caregiver. * Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. * Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs. * Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities during times of high clinical demand with minimal supervision. * Supervises and delegates the care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
