About Us: The LinkB5 data system, a vital component of the Center for the Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) at the University of Virginia, is on the lookout for a dedicated Early Childhood Business System Analyst to join our dynamic team. LinkB5 is committed to enhancing early childcare and education across the state of Virginia by collecting invaluable data to enhance access and quality for our youngest learners. As a LinkB5 Business Analyst, you'll collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to advance the LinkB5 technology.

Responsibilities: As the Business Analyst, you will:

• Participate actively in requirements planning and feasibility assessments.

• Craft user stories and acceptance criteria, providing clarity to development teams.

• Conduct thorough analyses of business and user needs, documenting requirements and addressing system logic challenges.

• Perform routine testing and site maintenance, including user acceptance testing.

• Track and manage bug reports and fixes and ensure a timely response from vendors.

• Schedule and manage database backups.

• Propose cost-effective solutions that meet performance objectives.

• Perform analyses and generate reports to ensure program compliance with schedules.

• Contribute to various project facets, including requirements, functional design, configuration, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• At least one year of experience.

• Relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong desire for continuous learning and improvement.

• Experience with Agile Methodology.

• Experience with Cloud computing and supporting legacy and modernized systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to timelines.

• Comfortable working predominantly at a desk.

Compensation Information:

• Full-time position with a competitive salary range of $62,000 to $67,000.

• Commensurate with education and experience, including UVA benefits.
