This role:

  • In this role, you will provide key support to the early career pipeline team at WEX. The Early Career Program Specialist supports the Early Career Pipeline Manager in leading the transformation of early career pipeline strategies as well as the alignment of campus recruiting talent process for The WEX Internship programs, Rotational Development Programs and other early career initiatives.

  • The Early Career Program Specialist will collaborate and work closely with the Learning and Development team and other Human Resources Centers of Excellence, senior leaders across various business functions, and other internal stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

Relationship Management

  • Support the Manager of Early Career Pipeline to develop creative ways to increase the company's brand and profile in the talent marketplace - and more specifically- through on-campus partnership/collaboration with professional, community and student organizations.

  • Support the university ambassador teams in building strong campus relationships with universities through career service offices, faculty, administration, and student bodies to promote the company's brand and image.

  • Support the recruiting of early career intern candidates track candidate progress throughout the hiring process and coordinate communications (e.g. interview schedules/details, offers, background checks, etc).

  • Manage communications around campus event logistics.

  • Ensure smooth onboarding & transitions between early career program rotations from planning and relocation perspective talent.

  • Educate and help the business to plan their growth in a realistic way with the support of data

  • Be the trusted advisor for the early career team area to hiring managers and all hiring partners

  • Support the Manager, Early Career Pipeline in strategic discussions around growth plans, competitor mapping and talent-driven acquisitions

  • Be a natural first choice speaking partner to important stakeholders within HR as well as within the organizations.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal HR Management, senior leaders, hiring managers, and other key partners

  • Ensure visibility of campus recruiting team and analyst programs with senior leadership on-campus, external relations and internal partners

Recruiting and Program Management

  • Drive program related processes for internship and rotational programs, seamless onboarding, rotation identification and transition, performance management, and talent assessments

  • manage routines, including quality checks and mentorship program with associates

  • Act as liaison between program participants, and program stakeholders for program-related information, guidance, and support

  • Track and assess program-related trends, including retention, progression, engagement

  • Provide recommendations to management on improvement opportunities; Prepare and provide reports to back findings and data

  • Collaborate with the early career pipeline manager to develop program communication strategies

  • Maintain & iterate on junior talent pipeline strategy for all education levels and all disciplines

  • Support the team that is responsible for program management & learning paths for early career development programs (i.e.: multi-year rotational program, fellowship programs, summer internship programs, thesis/co-op programs, & academic relations, etc.)

Who we are looking for:

  • 1- 4 years of professional experience, or related experience

  • Bachelor level degree required

  • Flexible, proactive, process oriented and highly organized.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with senior leaders and employees at all levels.

  • Previous HR internship or Co/Op experience in a corporate environment

  • Experience with data reporting and analysis

  • Must be able to multitask and bring tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

  • Team player with a high sense of urgency, able to interact with all levels of the organization and connect well with students.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand the talent needs of the business.

  • Results oriented with a high degree of personal initiative

  • Global travel availability

  • Strong understanding of social media

Half of the position will involve direct clinical care within this team and the other half will be conducting structured assessments within the context of an innovative and growing research program.# Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Master#s degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Maine State licensure to practice as a LCSW or LCPC is required, LCSW preferred.
