To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/ Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support a wide variety of projects involving environmental investigations and remediation activities; Fieldwork such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, aquifer testing, geophysical investigations, and remediation system O&M; Coordinate and implement field projects, oversee drilling, monitoring, sampling, and overseeing treatment system operations; Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation; Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, and implementation; Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting; Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures; Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals; and Interface directly with project internal and external personnel including, but not limited to, principals, business operations personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulators.

Fieldwork: Up to 30% Overnight travel: up to 20% Education and Licensure Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or related degree (required) Advanced degree in the same. (preferred) Geologist in Training (GIT) certification or on track to obtain GIT. (preferred) Skills, Experience and Qualifications At least 2 years of professional services consulting experience that includes environmental field investigation, construction monitoring in the field, execution of Phase I/Phase II environmental assessments, evaluation of environmental data, and presentation of technical solutions; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred) Prior internship experience in consulting. (preferred) Observation of drilling and well installation, soil sampling and logging using the USCS classification, groundwater sampling, and other field techniques. (preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (required) Demonstrated strong interest in contaminant remediation and/or quantitative hydrogeology. (preferred) Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred) Ability to multi-task and take directions with willingness to support multiple projects simultaneously. (required) Regular field work and overnight travel. (required) Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required. Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required) Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified California locations below.

The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Based on state and federal requirements, this position may be hourly and overtime-eligible or salaried eligible for straight-time overtime. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.
