Sentara Health is seeking to hire an experienced individual to join our team as a Counselor for our Employee Assistance Program.

This is an ON-SITE position, and the incumbent must be able to commute to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital and Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

This position is full-time with a work schedule that includes day and evening hours.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years of related experience Required

  • Master's level degree Required

  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor OR Registered Nurse Required

  • Licensure preferred

  • Applicants actively seeking licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMFT or RN in the state of Virginia may apply with agreement to complete licensure within 2 years

Job Summary

Provides direct service, screening, problem assessment, direct therapeutic counseling, client referral, crisis intervention, follow-up services and case management on an ongoing basis to clients seeking assistance.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor OR Registered Nurse required. Applicants actively seeking licensure as LCSW, LPC, LMFT or RN in the state of Virginia may apply with agreement to complete licensure within 2 years.
