Role and Responsibilities:

  • Consult with organization leadership (managers, supervisors and union officials) to enhance the work environment and help employees perform at their best

  • Train organization leadership (managers, supervisors and union officials) on a variety of topics including leadership, team development and dynamics, communication, conflict resolution and managing change

  • Facilitate both individual and team coaching, with a focus on optimizing performance

  • Market and actively promote the EAP within the assigned district

  • Solve for short-term problems through the use of short-term, solution-focused interventions

  • Utilize innovative technologies and various modalities to increase the reach of the EAP within the district

  • Remain flexible and autonomous in schedule in order to best meet the needs of the customer

  • Provide consultation, psychological first aid and appropriate response to the organization following a traumatic event in the workplace such as employee death, threats of violence or natural disasters

  • Provide telephonic consultation, assessment and referral through the virtual call center

Qualified candidates will have:

  • A master's and/or doctorate degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the corresponding professional association(s) in a clinical mental health field.

  • A minimum of five years of clinical experience after receiving the graduate degree.

  • A current state license or state certification to practice as a mental health professional in the state(s) where practice takes place. If such licensure/certification is not available in that state, the individual will hold appropriate certification from a recognized national certification organization or board.

  • Authority to practice at the independent level without requiring state-mandated clinical supervision.

  • Specialized experience and/or training in phone counseling
