Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Expert level knowledge of the E-6B APU, ECS, Electrical Distribution, Fuel, and Hydraulics Systems operation and maintenance either a member of a Maintenance Personnel group or as a Flight Engineer. Works closely with engineers providing consultation to assist in the definition of training system design for functionality within training system. SME will interact directly with the training system and codify domain knowledge for use by engineers. The SME will validate the expectations of the resulting system during the design and test phases of the project.
Two years' maintenance experience with the E-6B SubSystems
Expert level knowledge of the following E-6B SubSystems from an operational and maintenance perspective:
Familiarity with the E-6B Subsytems schoolhouse training curriculum
Strong written and oral communication skills
DoD Secret Level Clearance or higher
Provide expert guidance to the engineering team on proper operation of the E-6B APU, ECS, Electrical Distribution, Fuel, and Hydraulics Systems
Be the voice of the customer to the engineering and program team on the E-6B APU, ECS, Electrical Distribution, Fuel, and Hydraulics Systems
Be the technical interface to the Government Subject Matter Experts on the E-6B project
Attend test and program milestone events for the E-6B project
Provide input on test and program milestone events for the E-6B project
Participate in data gathering visits to off site locations for the E-6B project
Interpret Government maintenance and operation documents for the project team
This position is contingent on contract award
This position requires 10% travel
Location will be in Oviedo, FL
Preferred, but Not Required Skills:
Five years' experience with E-6B SubSystems from an operational and maintenance perspective.
Systems engineering expertise using mature processes through the full SDLC of at least one project.
US citizenship required. Must have an active DoD personnel secret level security clearance or able to obtain and maintain active clearance.
