E3.24 Community Climate and Economics VISTA

The Eco3 VISTA Corps focuses on addressing poverty holistically from various angles such as food access and systems, government policy, community development, education, health equity, creative place making, climate adaptation, energy justice and more. Eco3 VISTA members work with organizations that are deeply embedded in community to help develop equitable, resilient and sustainable solutions to community challenges through leveraging resources, building partnerships, expanding reach and improving organizational efficiency.

The VISTA member will increase organizational capacity to secure sustainable sources of funding, increase community awareness, expand connectedness of community members to each other and Eco3 programs, engage volunteers, and develop solutions that integrate existing resources with developing partnerships. In partnership with regional stakeholders, the VISTA will use their knowledge of sustainability and economics to support the development of a regional industrial decarbonization plan and community-scale energy programming. The VISTA will help ensure that large project development has an economic benefit to Justice40 and tribal communities.

The VISTA member will be part of the Ecolibrium3 AmeriCorps VISTA cohort.
