Description

Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on all Production and Converting equipment as well as other equipment and systems as needed. E & I Technicians are required to work an on-call schedule.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures safety is met and keeps supervisor informed of any hazards.

Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.

Repairs machines for Production and Converting and its systems including but not limited to mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical (low and high voltage) and controls.

Notifies management of repairs needed on equipment and all additional operating systems.

Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Maintains optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOL Quality Program.

Performs other duties assigned by the Facility General Manager or other member of the management team.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Ability to work with little to no supervision.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Be mechanically inclined and have knowledge of general manufacturing maintenance and repair.

Must be a fast learner, self-motivated and driven; strives towards continuous improvement.

Must have a positive can do attitude and a sense of accountability

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Good computer skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma; Associates Degree or additional training beyond high school a plus.

At least five (5) years manufacturing machine maintenance or related experience a plus.

Basic mathematic.

Forklift certification and ability to operate machinery required.

Experience with fabrication equipment and ability to fabricate parts for maintenance purposes, mechanics, hydraulics, electrical, wire diagrams, schematics, and reading blueprints.

Experience with PLC, Block Logic, Ladder Logic, Work Order Structure; Robotics knowledge a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to life and move objects up to 50 pounds at a time; up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Must be physically able to climb ladders, reach above head, bend or crawl and work in small spaces on a regular basis.

Ability to regularly move about the facility and sit, bend, stoop or kneel
