Lucid is seeking a highly skilled DVP Systems Implementation Specialist for our Vehicle Development team. Our mission is to lead the planning and execution of all vehicle level development tests to ensure we are delivering a quality product that meets customer needs. This position requires a professional with relevant experience setting up centralized systems/workflows for effectively planning and tracking the testing of early-stage electric vehicle prototypes as well as production ready vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements & Workflow mapping:

  • Work with all relevant stakeholders to understand and define the requirements for the implementation of the workflow both in the near and long term.

  • Create a comprehensive map or flowchart of the data pipeline, illustrating how data flows from one system to another. This helps visualize dependencies, potential bottlenecks, and points of integration or transformation.

  • Identify Integration Points:

  • Identify key integration points of data transitions between different systems. This could include data ingestion, transformation, storage, processing, and reporting stages.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define interfaces, APIs, data formats, and protocols for seamless integration.

  • Develop Data Pipelines:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement data pipelines that automate the flow of data between systems.

  • Use tools and technologies such as ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data integration platforms, and workflow orchestration tools to streamline data movement and processing.

  • Establish Data Governance and audit data quality:

  • Establish data governance policies and practices to ensure data integrity and periodically audit the data to ensure quality throughout the pipeline.

  • Data Reporting & Visualization:

  • Responsible for creating dashboards and data visualizations communicating key metrics to meet business needs.

  • Monitor and Troubleshoot:

  • Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to track data pipeline performance, identify anomalies, and proactively address issues.

  • Troubleshoot data-related problems, optimize performance, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.

  • Regular Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication channels with all relevant stakeholders (IT, Cross-functional teams, leadership) through meetings, status updates, progress reports, and collaborative platforms.

  • Keep stakeholders informed about data pipeline developments, changes, and enhancements.

  • Lead by Influence & be the voice of the vehicle development team:

  • Lead by influence and build strategic relationships with all key stakeholders.

  • Be the voice of the Vehicle Development team and its role supporting the company vision.

  • Scripting & Tool Development:

  • Support scripting or tool development efforts for addressing any gaps and improving efficiencies within the Vehicle Integration organization.

  • Training and Mentoring:

  • Provide guidance, training, and support to junior team members or colleagues involved in design verification activities. Share knowledge and best practices to build a capable and cohesive team.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback from all stakeholders, gathering insights on pain points or areas for enhancement, and implementing iterative improvements to the data pipeline and related processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.

  • Proficiency in tools such as Jama, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Tableau, 3DExperience, Cameo, other CAD/MBSE tools.

  • Strong process-based knowledge and track record of implementing quality systems or workflows from scratch.

  • Strong knowledge of developing and maintaining APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.) or ability to use tools such as Workato for achieving the same results.

  • Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines.

  • Good programming skills in Python and JavaScript.

  • Experience developing web applications using Python and familiarity with full-stack development, including front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Django, Flask).

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Detail oriented and organized mindset showing good time management & scheduling abilities.

  • Strong tracking and reporting skills with experience in dashboard creation.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects and leading by influence.

  • Solid work ethic and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Experience mentoring junior team members on best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in the automotive industry with background in testing or V&V processes.

  • Familiarity with vehicle systems, especially Electric Vehicle systems.

  • Good programming skills in Python and JavaScript.

  • Experience developing web applications using Python and familiarity with full-stack development.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$133,400-$183,480 USD
