What We Need for this Role

1+ years of experience in the residential real estate, home inspection, or home improvement industries is a plus, but not required
Construction experience is a plus, but not required
Strong listening, follow-up skills, and counseling
A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Skill in operating computer software (we will train you)

VIEW JOBS Description The Sixth Judicial District seeks to fill three full time (1.0 FTE) Court Operations Associate position in St. Louis County Court Administration, located at 100 North 5th Ave. West, Duluth, MN, Rooms 320 and 133. These positions are anticipated to work on criminal, juvenile, civil, family, CHIPS, conciliation, child support, and probate case types. Assignment to other case types will be determined based on business need. These are AFSCME-represented positions classified as Senior Court Clerk within the Minnesota Judicial Branch job classification system and performs advanced court clerical work in a District Court of the Minnesota State Court System. Court Operations Associates work individually and in teams using independent judgment along with available resources to perform a variety of administrative assignments that require dedication to providing excellent customer service, strong attention to detail, and technological skills to match our electronic environment. Work may involve responsibility for a specific area of court case processing or for performing a variety of advanced clerical functions in multiple case types and will require the application of independent judgment and the interpretation of policies and procedures based on training and knowledge gained through experience on the job. There will be frequent contact with the outside agencies, public, litigants, and attorneys at the counter, in the courtroom and on the telephone. Advice and assistance will normally be provided as needed by a Court Operations Supervisor or Court Operations Manager, but most functions will be performed with a minimum of checking or other supervision. Example of Duties * Accurately complete administrative work in the office by performing high level case processing and data entry work for cases utilizing court technology systems * Provide excellent customer service by assisting and communicating with court users in a professional, courteous and respectful manner to ensure the customer's needs are effectively met at the front counter, over the phone, or through electronic means by processing payments, receipts, balance a till, and any other necessary financial processing. * Provide courtroom support by working with Judges, court reports, and other justice partners to effectively manage court calendars, meet the business needs of the court and assure equal access for the fair and timely resolution of cases and controversies. Typical Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience: * High school diploma or equivalent * Six months of recent experience in a highly technical, administrative position (for example: court clerk, legal assistant, medical billing specialist, etc.) OR * A combination of equivalent education and experience such as a Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice or related field * Successful candidates will be required to pass a Criminal Background Check prior to appointment Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn other, job-related software * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with attorneys, probation, court staff, judicial officers, and the general public * Team orientated, with a positive attitude * Reliable, with the ability to meet commitments and keep work projects on task * Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure * Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with the public, stakeholders and court staff * Ability to understand and explain instructions, policies, statutes, rules, procedures and systems to the general public * Ability to comply with data privacy laws and maintain confidential information * Ability to provide a level of customer service that meets/exceeds customer expectation and satisfaction * Ability to professionally exhibit cultural sensitivity, patience, and understanding in the course of work duties * This position may be working remotely temporarily, access to reliable internet connection is required during this time. VIEW JOBS Our Duluth,MN has an immediate opening for Locators to join the largest Hydrovac business in North America. The Badger Hydrovac system is a non-destructive method of excavating using pressurized water and a vacuum system to quickly, safely and cleanly excavate around underground utilities and pipelines in the oil & gas, utility and municipal sectors. The job requires typical construction type hours with some weeks being less than 40 hours and other weeks very busy requiring 50 plus hours. Travel for short term out of town work assignments and/or training is to be expected. Training will be provided for people with a desire to succeed.
