A. Role Description
The Lead Developer for Duck Creek Policy is one of the senior members of the development team responsible for translating business requirements into pragmatic and functional application/technology solutions.
B. Responsibilities
Responsible for the development efforts for policy administration. Provide application development support for Duck Creek and AQS (Policy Decisions). Maintain and update documentation and artifacts for all supported systems.
Provide application support and drive resolution of reported problems to customer satisfaction.
6+ years of experience in the PC insurance with very good understanding of underwriting, rating,
insurance rules, forms, and preferably claims, billing.

C. Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science preferred
Experience developing, and implementing complex integration business solutions and Packaged Insurance
Products
3 - 6 years' experience in P&C Insurance industry in a technology role preferred
3 - 6 years' experience developing in industry standard programming languages (preferably Java/J2EE,
.NET C)
3-6 years' experience in JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSLT, ASP, server-side and client-side script for
browsers, Web services
3-6 years' experience with database systems, SQL language and database design.
Other relevant experience in the technology and business domain they support:
Experience with transactional portals / ecommerce
J2EE, XML, XSLT and associated development / testing techniques
Experience with Duck Creek Policy Administration integration preferred
Experience working with vendors, system integrators, and/ or in a managed service environment.
Experience working in a hybrid agile mode with knowledge of Kanban, Lean and Test-Driven environments
Experience developing technical documentation including storyboarding, UML, sequence diagrams,
component diagrams, information flows, use cases and presentations

Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across the organization on a regular basis

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of USD $125K-$155K (US Locations). The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location.
