JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises the assigned table games and insures a smooth operation; insures established policies and procedures are followed by the Games Department personnel. Performs the duties of a Table Games Dealer when scheduled.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Table Games Supervisor Essential Job Functions:

  • Schedules and places personnel, utilizing the tools and equipment available.

  • Supervises the opening and closing procedures of assigned table games.

  • Insures a smooth department operation in compliance with established policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Maintains proper table banks through fills and credits.

  • Periodically changes cards and dice at tables and inspect for any irregularities.

  • Assures that required facilities and equipment are available, clean and functioning properly.

  • Oversees all action in assigned area; reports any outstanding or irregular play to Casino Manager or designate.

  • Settles disputes amicably arising from guest complaints. Invokes Service Recovery when applicable.

  • Sets the proper example of hospitality and ensures that a visual impression of friendliness and courtesy are maintained from all Games personnel in an assigned area.

  • Insures adherence to all safety policies and procedures and reports any safety hazards to assigned Casino Supervisor.

  • Assists with the monitoring and administration of special promotions and programs.

  • Develops new gaming guests through contacts and provide the appropriate services and assistance for these new guests.

  • Facilitates guest complimentary service of room, food and beverage.

  • Recommends and /or assists in the department to include: hiring, promotions, demotions, and terminations. Recommends wage and salary changes for assigned personnel within established limits.

  • Counsels, guides and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Prepares and coordinates the performance of reviews of assigned personnel.

  • Always conducts self in a manner that reflects positively on the property and encourages others to do the same.

  • Conducts responsibilities of Casino Manager as designated by the Director of Casino Operations, with the exception of the responsibility of Managerial Representative.

Table Games Dealer Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides prompt, courteous and accurate dealing at assigned game.

  • Maintains a continuous inspection of deck(s) and/or tools needed to deal game, insuring the security of assigned game at all times.

  • Exchanges guest currency for gaming tokens and deposits cash in drop box. Ensures the safety of all tokens and cash entrusted.

  • Assists guests in playing and ensures adherence to established rules, policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

  • Two to four years' experience in table games and their operations.

  • Supervisory experience helpful.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Literate and fluent in English.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Good interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and team members.

  • Ability to settle disputes between guests and Harrah's amicably, to satisfy both parties.

  • Ability to maintain and project a positive attitude at all times; being cooperative and flexible to changing business demands; i.e., schedule changes and overtime.

  • Ability to receive direction and coaching and to accept it positively.

  • Ability to demonstrate support of company goals and direction positively in words and actions.

  • Must have the ability to think independently in making decisions to maximize customer service experience.

  • Mathematical skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

  • Must have the ability to effectively manage time and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.

  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time (8 hours).

  • Mobility and dexterity to encompass table top at assigned game to ensure security of said game.

  • Mobility and dexterity for range of motion, left to right and right to left, bend, flexibility in fingers and hands to distribute cards, pick up cards, dice, tiles, tokens, and cash.

  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.

  • Must be capable of reaching above and below the shoulder.

  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.

  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property including stairs and escalators.

  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.

Positions that have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy

environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Also, non-public contact positions may be required to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with their duties, and may be subject to the same environment.
