The A&SD Automation Technology Manager will collaborate with the A&SD Digital Finance, GFS & Procurement Senior Manager, and other BT Leads to help develop, implement and support various RPA and intelligent automation solutions.

The Manager will provide Business Technology expertise in the areas of designing, developing and supporting robotic process automation, intelligent automation solutions, and platforms with a focus on:

  • Analyzing business requirements, defining and architecting reliable and robust automation solutions

  • Providing technical expertise to troubleshoot, resolve and provide RCA on issues affecting robotic automations

  • Providing technical expertise in the areas of supporting, scaling and optimizing various automation platforms and tools

  • Lifecycle management for various automation platforms and tools

The Manager will be a key Solution Delivery representative for this area, partnering with other BT colleagues and Solution Delivery team colleagues to ensure clients meet their strategic goals.

He or she will also be part of the Architecture & Solution Delivery practice potentially being involved in other Finance & PGS projects that are not directly related to Automation Technologies, RPA or intelligent automation.

The Manager will be accountable for, within the scope defined:

a) Partnering with the appropriate BT client partners organizations and other BT leads to understand business objectives, analyze requests and provide technology and process solutions in support of these goals:

b) Managing and delivering RPA and intelligent automation for Finance and PGS related projects, systems and solutions, and providing technical support for these solutions over their lifecycle

c) Provide estimates and manage budgets and resourcing as required for key projects, manage project execution and deliverables in accordance with predefined timelines and budget

d) Assist in Defining the solution architecture for key RPA and intelligent automation solutions, helping to define and implement development and architecture standards/pattern for RPA and intelligent automation solutions

The Manager conducts all activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, Pfizer Values, FDA & global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), environmental guidelines, as appropriate, etc.

BT and Business Client Management:

  • Providing a point of contact and for Solution Delivery & Architecture in assigned areas of responsibility

  • Assisting in designing and Shaping thinking on how technology solutions can support the goals of the business

  • Gather and analyze technical requests to determine how best to create successful resolution

  • Analyze business requests to determine feasibility and solution sustainability

  • Ensuring that customer expectations have been met through the efficient delivery of automations

  • Work with teams located in different regions and time zones

Technical Project Management:

  • Assisting in defining project approach to gain client, client engagement manager, and project team member's buy-in

  • Create, review, evaluate project plans, project scope and objectives

  • Report and track progress relative to time, budget, scope and business objectives

  • Communicate project status, milestones and issues to the project sponsors

  • Apply effective project management control techniques

  • Identify and initiate process improvements (continuous improvement)

Solution Architecture & Delivery:

  • Analyze business requirements to determine the feasibility of automating these processes. Help define frameworks and standards for carrying out this type of analysis quickly and efficiently

  • Map business requirements to different tools, automation techniques, capabilities and services for different automation needs

  • Define detailed standards and work instructions around how to develop robust and resilient automations

Manage resources:

  • Contracted ad-hoc SMEs and Technical consultants

  • Resources from Strategic Partners

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Business, Finance or an affiliated field required

Experience:

  • 5 - 8 years of progressively increasing responsibility in information technology

  • Demonstrated experience of various IT practices, including but not limited to, software engineering specifically robotic process automation and intelligent automation design and development, project management, large scale project implementations

  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational regional and global boundaries, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-divisional and cross-functional environment

  • Ability to work independently, effectively coordinating multiple priorities in a dynamic team-oriented and collaborative environment

  • Adept at understanding customer challenges, navigating from problem to resolution and communicating process and resolution effectively both verbally and in writing

Technical/Functional Competencies:

  • First-hand knowledge of Blueprism and other RPA platforms like UIPath, Automation Anywhere

  • Extensive knowledge and experience deploying automations on these RPA platforms

  • Extensive knowledge of various automation, and integration technologies (RPA, Web API, orchestration tools workflow)

  • Knowledge of multi-tier systems across technologies (.NET, Java)

  • Knowledge and experience coding in .NET languages (C#, VB, J#) as well as scripting languages (Batch, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, Javascript)

  • Experience working with and implementing AI solutions on Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google, IBM

  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server and Oracle) and experience writing and developing SQL queries and procedures

  • Business requirement analysis and System Design & Solution Architecture an advantage

  • Project management and System Integration

  • Dashboarding and Analytical Solutions Tableau, Tibco Spotfire etc.

  • Vendor & Solution Assessments

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills

Your role as Data Integration & Analytics Team Lead: A team lead in FedAI, Data Integration & Analytics team has responsibility for the technically leading a sub-set of a competency center's responsibilities focused on Common Services. Competency centers are accountable to the Delivery teams to provide supplemental resources to respond to demand changes and specialized skills, tools, and services to support all the Delivery teams as well as other TSG Functions, the Bank, and FRS. Manage a team dedicated to the design, development, and delivery of various projects in oracle data warehouses (including data modeling, ETL, database application development) and Tableau Reporting.
