We are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join our Performance Materials Finance Controllership Team as a Global Manufacturing Senior Accountant/Analyst, reporting into the Head of Controlling

  • Delivery Systems & Services ("DS&S").

You will be supporting three sites globally: One each in China, Korea and Allentown, PA. Limited travel required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing industry preferably with direct plant support. Operation controlling experience is preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Finance)

  • SAP experience, specifically CO SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling

  • Strong IT skills, especially with Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP system.

  • Knowledge of accounting regulations and Group accounting policies and practices, and application of such standards

  • Strong tactical and analytics skills

  • Experience working in a multi-national environment is a plus

Summary of Position:

You will be responsible for providing financial support service both to and on behalf of the 3 DS&S manufacturing sites and will report to the Head of Controlling

  • DS&S. You will play a key part in month-end closing, monitoring SAP financial master data, providing visibility of all related situations associated to manufacturing processes, inventory valuation, costing, controlling and analyzing variances and delivering value adding insights to site management. You will do this pro-actively and in line with financial requirements and corporate standards.

To be successful for this role you will be a qualified accountant preferably with financial analysis experience. You will have a strong aptitude for finding solutions to problems and suggesting new ways of working which will improve controllership insights, factory operations and accounting systems.

  • Month End Close

o Lead role for DS&S in the month end process including journal entries, settlement of service orders and account reconciliations including support of inventory allowances.

o Report and evaluate performance of various plant activities and ensure achievement of goals and prepare and analyze financial statements.

o Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations in Blackline

  • Manufacturing Accounting

o Review, maintain and release all standard cost of all plant products.

o Support the DS&S Controller on driving reporting enhancements & standardization

o Evaluate all reports and maintain financial accuracy for all plant processes and analyze all business trends and provide required explanations.

o Monitor all activities and ensure compliance to all corporate standards.

o Provide support to financial information technology team to implement all new systems.

o Resolve all technical issues and provide technical assistance to all teams and documents all requirements for external auditors.

o Determine and maintain all accounting principles and processes.

  • Site Controlling

o Maintain controls on plant processes and prepare reports to summarize activities.

o Pro-actively challenge assumptions to drive cost improvements across the factory.

o Active role in cost saving improvement projects through reviewing and validating proposed and actual savings

o Provide visibility and forecasts around factory processes through analysis and reporting both on monthly actuals and forecasting process

o Participation in business planning activities through preparing and coordinating the factory standard cost budget by developing forecasts including revisions and simulations.

o Drive, support and accelerate the factory management by being an integral part of the Local Leadership Team

o Develop profit and loss metrics to facilitate key performance indicators.

o Prepare site financial forecasts and corresponding activity rates in SAP.

o Evaluate all plant transactions according to accounting procedures.

o Reconcile inventory and maintain accuracy in transactions and records for all inventory and participate in quarterly and annual financial audits.

Key responsibilities: * Drive month end close process by using and analyzing SAP reports, creating journal entries, and reconciling balance sheet and income statement accounts * Develop standard cost calculations and update standard rates in SAP * Assist with reporting and forecasting process * Development of executive reporting slide deck * Maintain accounting records and update financial models * Manage fixed asset tracking process and fixed asset programs by compiling project costs for fixed asset projects, closing capital-in-process projects, and developing presentation slides for Capex * Conduct physical inventory * Manage AP accruals * Support internal and external audits * Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned Successful candidates will possess the following: * Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment * Month end close and audit experience required * Power User in Excel - Ability to create scalable Microsoft Excel models including pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs, arrays, including the ability to evaluate/recreate existing models * Experience with SAP and BPC strongly preferred * Semiconductor industrial experience a plus * Proactive, detail oriented, well organized, and proficient in managing day to day tasks with limited supervision * Self-motivated team player with focus on delivering quality results ahead of schedule * Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word #LI-JP1 Infinera is an equal opportunity employer.
