Join our Team# We are looking for a compassionate, caring and dedicated Patient Access Intake Specialist to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence.# Job Overview This position is responsible for greeting, registering, collecting payments from and directing/escorting patients in compliance with applicable State and Federal regulations and hospital policies and procedures. Is an ambassador of Deaconess, cultivating a nurturing atmosphere of courtesy, respect, empathy, dignity and optimism.

As a Patient Access Intake Specialist, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess. What you will need To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and must clearly demonstrate each of the competencies. The education/experience, certifications, skills, physical demands, and work environment further define requirements associated with this position.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education and Experience Completion of High School or GED required. College degree desired.

Knowledge of health care revenue cycle preferred. Understanding of insurance is a plus.
