Jacobs is seeking a Senior Virtualization Engineer to support the NISSC II contract. • Job Description The DSO Senior Virtualization Engineer evaluates, designs, implements, and tests the deployment of on-premise cloud solutions. Works within a Service Delivery Team to provide Infrastructure and Platfrom as a Service capabilities at software development and operational facilities.
  
  Works closely with vendor technical consultants to deploy critical systems. Advises program leadership on recommended solutions, integration strategy, and system sustainment. Provides key input to project schedules, identifies and mitigates risks, documents lessons learned, and delivers regular updates to stakeholders.
  
  Leads and mentors junior team members. Here's what you'll need: Clearance Requirements:
  
  Secret Experience Requirements: o IAT Level II certification (i.e. Sec ).o Minimum 10 years of experience in a virtualization or similar roleo Experience with Nutanix or VMware installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.o Demonstrated proficiency in Active Directory integration of virtualization products.o Applied understanding of DISA STIG and vendor recommended system/service hardening of virtualization for Nutanix or VMware.o 4 years of Nutanix or VMware implementation/administration experience.o Current VMware certification or Nutanix certification.o Experience leading small engineering teams. Desired: o Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline o Experience migrating services from one virtualization platform to another (i.e.
  
  VMware to Nutanix).o Experience implementing container orchestration tools.o Self-motivator with the ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.o Team oriented with the capability to work with other defined teams to accomplish all goals.o Experience with Dell Server products and services.o Knowledge of deploying Virtual Desktops with Citrix and Horizon. This position is expected to pay $175,000-$195,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. Essential Functions Work Environment Work will be performed inside a large facility.
  
  An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Work assignments vary based on client requirements. Physical Requirements Sitting at desk. Phone use and PC or laptop.
  
  Filing required. May require lifting and carrying boxes of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. Equipment and Machines General office equipment, which includes: telephone, fax machine, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
  
  Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is mandatory. Candidates must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Grooming and dress are usually business casual, but dependent on the client's standards.
