DSHS WSH Laboratory Technician / Phlebotomist
Seeking to hire a Laboratory Technician at Western State Hospital Laboratory. In this role you will be responsible for phlebotomy, patient testing, and all necessary tasks to keep the laboratory functioning as a College of American Pathologists accredited facility. We value teamwork and dependability.
Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.
On a regular basis, you will
Perform phlebotomy routine basis
Perform clinical testing in general area of the laboratory
Operate laboratory equipment, troubleshoot any minor instrument malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance
Perform clerical duties that support the operation of the laboratory
Who we are looking for
Professional with an associate degree from accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program. College credits in clinical laboratory science may substitute for year to year
And a valid WA State Dept. of Health Medical Assistant Phlebotomist certification
