We're searching for a talented individual to join our team as a Contracts Assistant, supporting the development, renewal, and termination of individual provider contracts. Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of legal contract requirements, contract principles, applications, and terminology.
As a key member of our team you'll
Act as a liaison between customers and the Developmental Disabilities Administration
Support multiple counties for individual provider contracting
Assist caseworkers in the valid use of contractors in service to clients
Create contracting application packets; Review individual provider application packets and documents to ensure all contracting requirements are complete
Provide technical assistance, training, and consultation on contract requirements to individual providers
Run expiring contract reports and review status on providers
Monitor contract expiration
Mail renewal packets and maintain tracking reports on contract renewal status
Process background checks in Web-Based Background Check system for individual provider contracts
Produce fingerprint appointment form and provide to individual provider
Analyze and interpret background check results
Develop contract termination letter and assemble required documents
Maintain files, records, contract file contents
Provide secretarial, office support, and customer service support as needed
Viable and competitive applicants will have:
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or related field or four years of technical experience in the development, administration, or termination of contracts
Proficient in the use of computers and software, including: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (version 2010 or newer)
Ability to interpret contract terms, requirements, and conditions
Must be organized and able to keep track of multiple activities; which includes the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in the same timeframe, handle interruptions appropriately, and return to incomplete tasks.
Ability to write clearly and effectively; Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing
Ability to develop understandable fiscal and status reports
Ability to work within a team environment, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
Ability to mediate conflicting or confrontational interactions
Ability to monitor and evaluate regional development and implementation processes and identify problems with solutions to operational issues
