DSCI Training Partnerships Coordinator VISTA
The Department of Service and Civic Innovation was created to respond to Governor Wes Moore's call to make Maryland the State that Serves. DSCI supports expanding public service as a pathway into good quality jobs in public service across the state through Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and AmeriCorps programs.
The Training Partnerships Coordinator VISTA will build capacity in our program by building relationships with many organizations across the state to provide different kinds of training to Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and other service members. The member will build a database of training partnerships and materials generated to support service members. The member will gain skills in negotiation, relationship building, non-profit management and database management.
The Training Partnerships Coordinator VISTA should be passionate about supporting service members all across the state improve their skills and job readiness. Previous experience with training or tutoring would be helpful but is not required. The Training Partnerships Coordinator VISTA position comes with the benefits of VISTA service provided by AmeriCorps including a living allowance of $22,819.16 per year, health coverage options through the AmeriCorps agency, and an option at end of service of a Segal Education Award or a Cash Stipend.

Member Duties : The Training Partnerships Coordinator VISTA will reach out and begin building relationships with educational institutions, non-profits, businesses, and government agencies to develop and deliver training to Maryland Corps/Service Year Option and other service program members in Maryland. The member will build a database of these partnerships and training materials to be used for future program years and to measure the impact of the delivered training. The member will also design and deliver surveys to host site partners to gauge the impact that hosting a service member in their organization has had on their effectiveness and capacity.
